This course meets the All-University Core Curriculum (AUCC) requirements for Biological/Physical Sciences (Category 3A) and is approved under gtPathways in the content area of Natural and Physical Sciences with Lab (GT-SC1).
AA 100 (Introduction to Astronomy (GT-SC2))
The lab manual will be provided through Canvas. Use of a telescope is required for this course. Students can purchase a Galileoscope Kit and Tripod through the CSU Bookstore.

Emily Hardegree-Ullman is a professor of Astronomy and Physics at Colorado State University and is the Director of CSU's Madison-Macdonald Observatory. She earned her BS in Astronomy from the University of Arizona and her PhD in Multidisciplinary Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where she conducted research in the field of Astrobiology.
